These are my hubby’s favorite treats. The final time I made these was on MKR on a blistering scorching day in Townsville. Steve and I revamped 100 in 2 hours, outside….I haven’t been recreation to make them since (traumatised) however I couldn’t resist when my hubby requested for them ❤️❣️
✅Filo pastry antonioufillopastry
✅One block of unsalted butter
✅250 grams of chopped dates
✅250 grams of chopped walnuts
✅ 1/2 cup of orange juice
✅ 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Place your chopped dates, orange juice and vanilla in a small pot and prepare dinner on medium warmth till the dates are mushy. Take away from warmth and let cool in medium measurement bowl. When cool combine in your finely chopped walnuts.
Lay one filo sheet on a flat floor and brush it with melted butter, place one other sheet on that one and repeat as soon as extra, that’s three layers people.
Place the date combination all alongside the sting of the fillo, the shorter aspect in width makes cute small ones like mine.
Roll like a cigar after which curl just like the photograph.
